Ready to Hibernate?
I absolutely love this time of year with its bright yellows and oranges; warm days and cool nights; skies that are dark, swirling and threatening one minute, and then the deepest blue with bright sunshine the next. It seems that everything is gently closing down…I watch a tamed chipmunck scurrying about preparing for winter’s onslaught…and of course the inevitable Canada goose flock honking loudly on their flight to warmer climes. Here in Ontario we are blessed with the most picturesque scenes of maples changing colours so dramatically. Even Georgian Bay out in front of my house changes dramatically at this time of year…seeming black and threatening one minute, then completely calm and serene the next. Do you feel like you, too are slowing down somewhat? I call it the time to hibernate. Getting ready to be buried in snow for the winter…even if you do participate in winter fun, this is the time of year to become prepared. Checking out the snowboots and coats…pulling out the warm winter wardrobe. Now that the days are shorter, and you have a bit more time to reflect, why not do some internal winter preparations. We tend to clean house in the Spring and Fall…why not do some emotional clearing now as well. There always seems to be some sort of baggage just hanging on…impeding our progress. Set time aside to do more introspection and clear out some old, self-defeating thoughts, beliefs and behaviours…cleanse them away and begin to feel brighter and better about yourself. Need help? Check out my Confidence, Stress Relief and Subliminal CDs/MP3s. Subliminals are an easy and painless way of directing your subconscious mind toward fulfilling your highest potential by “cleaning house”…without your conscious mind even needing to be aware it is happening. What could be easier? So enjoy this, my favourite time of year on the inside and out!
