Welcome Spring!

Dare I imagine that we are finally into Spring?  There is always the chance of one last blast of snow (I am in Canada!) but I am going to go out on a limb here and welcome Spring.  This is actually the time of year that I take inventory…a mental inventory.  Remember back in January when you vowed to keep those New Year’s Resolutions?  Have you?  Most of us don’t, so I have learned to set my sites on this time of renewal to examine what it is I want to change and how I will go about doing that.  It is so much easier when all around you is rebirth and renewal…the sun warmer and shining more often…the warm, cleansing Spring rains…and of course the wonderful bulbs that blossom forth with heady scents and riotous colours.  The days are longer and the birds sing louder and longer!  Motivation is all around you…why not absorb it into yourself and begin an emotional Spring cleaning?  Review old habits and beliefs that no longer apply and begin to toss and  replace them with more up-to-date and viable alternatives.  Break the chains of self-limiting beliefs and self-sabotage…get on with life in a more positive, affirming way!  How you ask?  Begin in small steps.  Zero in on just one thing that you know just isn’t working for you.  Examine it thoroughly and make a list of what needs to change.  Now identify what it is you WANT to work.  Write it down on paper in as much detail as possible.  By writing down what isn’t working, then what it is you want to work, you tell your subconscious mind what negative thought patterns you want to replace.  You then give the positive outcome you want your subconscious mind to adopt instead.  Apply as much detail to the positive as possible…look at it from all angles and using all of your senses…make it real!  Then envision how that more positive outcome appears 5 years down the road.  You are converting negative energy from negative thoughts into positive energy and a positive reality.  Remember to boost your self esteem often.  Life tires you out and beats you down…you deserve to feel good about yourself!  You are, after all, totally unique in this world…one of a kind…and precious.  It is about time you started believing it..and once you begin to…watch your world change for the better!  You will attract more positive energy towards you, and this snowball effect will keep your momentum growing in the right direction.  Happiness, good health, success, wealth…all can be yours!  You are only limited by your thoughts!
